Assessments

The Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) is a system of evaluations aligned to Washington state standards in English language arts/literacy (ELA/literacy) and mathematics for grades 3-5. Additionally, the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) is given to fifth graders. All 3-5 graders will be tested in the month of May. The 2026 testing dates are as follows:

Please avoid any travel during these testing dates and make doctor appointments on other days or before or after school. Your help in making sure your child is attending school well-rested, healthy, and fed on these days is appreciated.
