Policies & Curriculum

Loan Periods:

Kindergarten - 1 book for 1 week (check out begins in October)
1^st Grade - 1 book for 1 week
2^nd Grade - 2 books for 1 week
3^rd Grade - 3 books for 2 weeks
4^th Grade - 4 books for 2 weeks
5^th Grade - 5 books for 2 weeks

Students may continue to check out or renew books if they don’t have any overdue book(s).

Books should be returned on or before the student's assigned library day (see library schedule below). Please reinforce the importance of responsible book return.

If a student needs more time to finish reading a book, they may ask to renew the book.

If a student will be gone on an extended absence - please return all library books prior to the absence so they are available for other students.

Book Fines:

Students are not fined for late books, but they are responsible for lost or damaged library books. Students will be fined the replacement cost if a book is lost or damaged.
